Shyamlee Handa

Mrs.Handa grew up in New Delhi and Mumbai, India after which she moved to the USA in 1996. Since then she has lived in New Jersey, Virginia, and now San Antonio with her husband and two sons.

Mrs. Handa graduated from the School of Visual Arts, NYC earning her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. She subsequently received her Elementary Montessori Teacher Certification from the Princeton Center for Teacher Education in Princeton, New Jersey.

Mrs. Handa has over 10 years of teaching experience and owes her love for teaching to her mother who has been an elementary teacher for many years. 

Mrs. Handa fell in love with the Great Hearts core values after her younger son started at GHNO a year ago and she saw a deep love for learning develop in him.

Mrs. Handa loves to cook and enjoys doing art projects in her free time. She looks forward to being a part of the caring and student-centered community at GHLO.
