Laura Alvarez

Mrs. Alvarez received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas Pan-American with a minor in sociology and another in Spanish and is currently working towards her teaching certification from early childhood to 6th grade. She has had plenty of experience within the education field, ranging from working as an elementary school math tutor during her college years to teaching ESL online and substituting in bilingual and ESL classrooms.
Mrs. Alvarez considers herself a life-long learner and is always looking for the next book to read or skill to learn. During her free time, she likes painting ceramics, playing trivia games with her husband and two children, exercising, and traveling around the world. Mrs. Alvarez is thrilled to start this new adventure. Go owls!
