Brook Lucero
May 29, 2020 -
Brooke Lucero has been in the education field for 14 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in General and Special Education from Arizona State University with a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Before working in the public school sector, Mrs. Lucero worked as an early interventionist for children with autism utilizing both ABA and play therapies. Since then, she has worked in a variety of public school settings including developmental pre-k, redirection and resource. Brooke joined the charter school movement in 2014 and has worked as a special education teacher and coordinator at Great Hearts Northern Oaks (where she was also a founding faculty member!) She was the Texas Charter School Teacher of Year in 2017 and has also been a teacher fellow for Texas Teach Plus, a teacher advocacy organization. She is a firm believer that every parent and student should have a choice in the education they or their children are receiving. She is excited to be a part of the Live Oak Founding Faculty as their special education coordinator.
