Alexandra Gass

June 5, 2020 -

Ms. Alexandra Gass fell in love with the liberal arts education system that she grew up in. Beginning her education at the French Immersion School of Washington, Alexandra was imbued with a love of reading and language that her primary and secondary school teachers continued to nurture until her graduation from Ronald Reagan High School. Consequently, she pursued a degree from Trinity University, a #1 ranked liberal arts college based on best value and quality of undergraduate teaching. There, she studied a variety of subjects in depth, but especially film, biology, French, and Russian.

Alexandra Gass graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Modern Languages and Literatures for her honors thesis in Russian literature. Passionate about providing similar education and support to younger students, Alexandra Gass chose a career in education. While in college, Ms. Gass tutored her peers in writing, high school students in college admissions, and students with special needs in organizational and academic skills. After a summer semester working as a substitute teacher at Vineyard Christian School, she felt a deep affinity for disability advocacy and working with children. And so, Alexandra pursued a career in special education at Great Hearts Academy.

Ms. Gass enjoys spending her free time dog training, meditating, and pursuing creative hobbies such as embroidery and drawing. She is trilingual and loves watching foreign, sci-fi, and documentary films. She plays board games with her family on holidays and weekends. She is an active member of her church and has lived in San Antonio since 2009.
